FuncNet uses SOAP web services which define their inputs and outputs in WSDL files. The WSDL for the main FuncNet front-end service is here.
You can also query the predictors directly using a slightly different message format. Their WSDLs are available at the following locations:
- CODA (using CATH domains)
- CODA (using Pfam domains)
- engineDB
- GECO
- GOSS-BP
- GOSS-CC
- GOSS-MF
- hiPPI
- iHOP
- iHOP Conn
- JACOP
- PIPs
Note that all of the predictor WSDLs are essentially the same, differing only in certain names and URLs. Also note that the GECO, GOSS, hiPPI and CODA services are all run from the same web application, so each of their WSDLs also contains definitions for the rest of them.
If you want to understand how the FuncNet protocols work, we’ve provided some examples of messages to/from the services to get you started.
SpindleP and DORA-Spindle can also be queried directly, via SOAP, or using our spindle prediction tool.
